Come to the A&P show

If you wanted to go to the A&P Show you would see heaps of animals to pat
and games to play.

One of the things that lots of people like is the animals that you can pat. In one
of the pens are goats and kids. Kids are baby goats. You can pat them as
well as play with them.

There is also a few rides and games I want to tell you about.

The hurricane is a massive ride that goes super fast. It goes like a horse
breaking from the starting gates. It has 6 long arms with seats that look like
orange mini rockets on the ends of the arms. You can either go by yourself
or with a buddie. At first, it goes round and then it goes up and down and
round at the same time.

There is a game that involves gumboots! It is called the Gumboot Throw.
You write your name down of paper, line up and then you get to throw 3
Gumboots. The people wrote your measurement down on the piece of
paper that you wrote your name down on.

So from all of these fun things you should go to the show and see what else
you can find. If you do go you will enjoy it.

The Dragon Battle

My writing task was to write a narrative that had characters, a setting, a problem and a resolution.
Here is my story

Dragon Battle

Jess the ruler of The Kingdom Of The Dragons was sitting in the  great hall of Castle
Amberstone eating her tea that was massive chicken wings. Jess is a blue scaly dragon
with eyes like sapphires.

As she sat there she received a letter from Chillibreath the princess of The Kingdom Of
The Dragons. The letter arrived in an envelope with wings.

Chillibreath is a red dragon with a yellow chest. She has all sorts of jewels like diamonds,
Rubies, sapphires and emeralds. The letter said that Jess was to battle Chillibreath and
whoever won would become ruler. Jess sent a letter saying that she agreed.

So three days later the battle began. Most of the dragons in the kingdom came to watch.
Then the dragon battle started. Chillibreath used thunderstrike. Thunderstrike is where
big grey clouds come and shoot out lightning. But Jess was too fast. Chillibreath did a
nose dive but Jess made a magical net and Chillibreath bounced off the net. ¨Nooooooo
¨ Chillibreath yelled.

Everyone cheered that Jess won. Chillibreath flew up to Jess and asked if they could have
peace between them. Jess agreed and asked her maids to build a cave just out of the
Kingdom of The Dragons so chillibreath would not cause anymore trouble and so she
does not have to live in a cave that is cold, wet and damp. So everything went back to
normal and everybody went back to being happy even Chillibreath was stunned by her
new cave.

Horses History

The first horse that was found was called Hyracotherium. The first country that found horses was
North America. The first breed of horses were Arabians.  The first country that rode horses first
was central Asia. Horses have been on earth around 45-55 million years.

Types of Horses

These are all the types of horses. There are Belgian, percheron, clydesdale, Thoroughbred,
American quarter, Arabians, Shire, Andalusian, American miniature, friesian, shedland, Mustang,
gipsy, mangalarga, American paint, Lipizzan, Belgian, Dutch, Icelandic, Akhal-teke, Fjord,
Trakehner, American saddlebred, Hackney, Appaloosa, Barb, Haflinger, Azteca, Falabella,
Curly, Morgan, Peruvian, Dutch draft, Missouri fox Trotter, Spotted saddle, Anglo-arabian,
Kentucky mountain saddle, Marwari, AraAppaloosa, Exmoor, Oldenburg, lusitano,

The American quarter is the most popularest horse in America. The breed got its name from
winning races that were quarter of a mile.

These are all the things you need to have to look after a horse. When you look after a
horse you have to feed it twice a day and walk or ride it 5 km every day otherwise the
horse gets lazy and grumpy. You need to brush it every day.  You need to put it out in a
big paddock full of grass. It takes lots to look after the horse.

So in conclusion lots of people like horses. Now you know lots about horses that you
could try and ride them. ou know that horses can be very useful. But remember that
horses can be dangerous.

My Information Report About America

Last week we did information reports about some country's. I did one about America. We had to pick a country in the world. then we wrote it in our book. ]America is a country full of 50 states. It has lots of yummy food, massive festivals and amazing celebrities.

Festivals In America

In America there are heaps of very special festivals. They can celebrate lots of different things in different parts of the world. There is Independence day  on the 4th of July, which celebrates independence from the british. Americans all get a day of off. There is also the mash festival in barcelona on the 2nd of September. That celebrates Guyana becoming republic in 1970. Another one is Halloween on the 31st of October. On October at night they go around the neighborhood all dressed up and knock on peoples door. When they knock on the doors people give them lollies.

American Food

Takeaways in America are very common. There are also some takeaways from America in New Zealand. There are Mcdonalds, KFC, Burger King, Wendy's, subway and heaps more that I could name.  There are extreme sizes of food trailers on streets that sell donuts, hot pretzels, hot dogs, and pizza slices. You can walk into the pizza shop and just buy a slice of pizza.

When was America discovered

America was discovered in 1492 by Christopher Columbus. He was born in the  Republic of Genana. He died on the 20 of may 1506 when he was 55.

Places to go in America

There are 50 states to visit but it would be tiering visiting all of them. Here are some amazing places to visit. There is the grand canyon in Arizona. It has a splendid view. The statue of liberty in New york. It is 93 meters high. Disneyland in California. It would be fun for the whole family. And the last is called Wet n Wild in sydney. It is one of the biggest water parks in all of America.

So from these facts you can see America is a big country with fifty states. America is an incredible country and America is a very special place. If you went to America you would love it.

My Super Power

My Speed Power

There I was at school running the cross-country. I was still running when I
started to run a bit faster. I did not know what was happening to me. Just then
I past three of the fastest kids in the school. They were Jesse, Adelaide and
Shanae. Adelaide was amazed. She was probably thinking that I do not
usually run that fast. Jesse said that if I keep up that speed I will catch Zavier.
Just as he said it I did. My body felt like I was as light as a feather. I shot away
like a jet plane. I only had one lap to go and I thought to myself why am I not
tired? My running was so terrific. Miss McCormick could not believe her eyes.
After I was finished the race everybody was amazed. I was too. After school I
ran as fast as flash all the way home. My house was 15 miles away from the
school. Mum was amazed when I got home. When mum seen me she said
¨how did you get here so fast?¨ It was me running. I don't know what has
happened? So mum decided to take me to the doctors. But they did not know
what has happened to me. So we went home. In the car I found a snail.
So I picked it up and chucked it out the window. When we got home mum
started to cook tea. I told mum that I was going to run to the school and back. She said that I was allowed to go. I started running but I was not as fast as I was. I walked in and said to mum that I can't run fast anymore.

Mum said ¨That was the end of that!¨

My Embarrassing Moment

I was at school, on Friday, when I received an invitation from my best friend Ivy. I looked at it for a moment. It was going to be on Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm.





After school I quickly biked home and showed mum. Mum thought it was a fancy dress party. Mum got her wallet and said ¨let's go.¨ So we jumped into the car and drove to the Riccarton mall. The first thing we did was to go to Farmers. We went straight to the jeggings. I picked out a black pear. They were as black as night. Then we walked to the T shirt aisle. I picked out a light blue like the sky. We quickly payed for them and drove back home to try them on. They fitted perfectly.





Next thing it was bedtime. I said goodnight to mum. As soon as my head hit the pillow I fell asleep.





I heard the birds chirping happily as I woke up the next morning. I was so excited. I jumped out of bed and quickly got changed into my new clothes. Mum was already up making pancakes.





Before I knew it it was the afternoon and mum had dropped me off. Ivy came running up to me. ¨Happy birthday¨ I said. ¨Thanks.¨ ¨I invited your BOMD!¨. ¨NOOOOO!!! I said.





As I walked in my BOMD started to come towards me. I ran straight for the fizzy drinks. I grabbed the raspberry flavor. I started to walk towards my BOMD while I was drinking my drink we were about 3 meters apart. Then It all went wrong. I tripped over some carpet and my raspberry went all over my BOMD.




After that he got up and ran all the way home. After that I called mum on my phone and told her to come and get me. So she did. Once I got home I ran straight up to my room and did not come out for two days.

Plastic in our oceans

Plastic in our oceans can harm marine animals. It is a huge problem. Plastic is a problem because all plastics are toxic. Once it is in the ocean marine animals think it is food, eat it and then die.

What does rubbish do to animals?

Sea Turtles, Seals and Sea Lions, Seabirds, Fish, Whales and dolphins.

Polar bears

Because polar bears sit at the top of the food chain, their intake of toxins may be particularly magnified, according to the IUCN.

Seabirds, land animals and marine animals eat plastic because they think it is food then die. Once they start to rot away you can see what they have eaten. If other birds see it they will eat what was out of the other birds. Whales eat little plankton, krill and squid. It will think bottle cap lids and eat it.

Conclusion

In conclusion, it is important that people think about what they do with rubbish. Everyone can help save marine animals as well as the sea. Packaging should not be plastic so that any animals don’t hurt.

If everyone does this no more animals would be hurt or harmed.

My Family

Dylan, Mum, Rob, Cosmo, Brodie, Hannah.

I have a brother named Dylan. He is very annoying. He even distracts me well i’m doing my homework. Dylan is 6 yrs old.

My mum takes care of me. She pays for my swimming and my netball. My mum is 34 yrs old. I love her!!!

Cosmo is my cat. He is black and white. He eats cat biscuits for breakfast and meat for dinner. Cosmo likes to sleep on mum’s bed in the sun.

Rob is a truck driver. He Drives a VTL truck. Rob is going to become a dad soon. He has blue eyes.

Brodie is my cousin. He likes to what jurassic world. Brodie sometimes comes over to play at grandmas house to play with us. He is 7 yrs old.

Hannah is also my cousin. She likes to play with her dollies and shopkins.

What we want at our new school!!!

Write descriptive, accurate sentences using capitals and full stops.

We explored the margaret mahy playground so we could find out, about the equipment we might want at our new school.

The one piece of equipment that I think was the best was the flying fox because, everyone  is sharing and taking turns. The flying fox was orange and yellow. I think it would be safe as long as we can have mats, under them.

My second  favorite thing was the gigantic slide because 6 people can go on it at a time. We can put little walls on the edges and put a rail on each  side of the gigantic slide.

My last favorite thing was the spinning egg because when you sit in it you fell like the world is tipping.

I love the flying fox, the gigantic slide and spinning egg.

My puppy Chubb

My puppy’s name  is Chubb. He is a rottweiler puppy.  He has floppy ears and a long snout. He has huge feet. Last of all  he has a tiny  tail. When he is happy it wags and it is so funny.

At 12:08pm he snuck into the dog treats when me and Dylan were playing outside. When Me and Dylan came in we saw Chubby with the last one so we took  it of him and told mum and Rob and he said "naughty boy" you get a huge smack on the but!!!

He sleeps outside in his smelly kennel. He eats TUX triangle biscuits and  little circle biscuits.
